Twenty-year old Jacob Riglin - aka @Jacob - is a landscape and cityscape photographer from Richmond upon Thames. A passionate traveller, he’s covered four continents so far, capturing inspiring cityscapes and unique perspectives on natural phenomena, often contrasting the static environment with the turbulence of the weather and the movements of crowds.
Riglin has been known to charter a helicopter to achieve a particular perspective but, more recently, has taken to climbing to the summit of buildings and dangling himself over the edge to achieve a rare and exciting vantage point. Post-processing is a feature of his work, and requires time and meticulous attention to detail, but also provides him with another opportunity to reveal his creative style and make the image his own.
Being a millennial, he’s immersed in social media: posting images, messages and stories in pictures on Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram and has garnered some 175,000 followers on the latter in less than two years.
